QUESTION

Is my mother the legal heir to my great aunts assets?

Asked on Oct 01st, 2021 on Wills and Probate - Oklahoma
More details to this question:
My great aunt passed away with millions in assets. Her husband is deceased and she has no biological or adopted children. Her late husbands deceased daughters ex husband and his children have taken everything claiming she has no living heirs, but she does have 3 nieces and 1 living nephew. Shouldn't they be the legal heirs to her estate and assets? She lived in Michigan. We live in Oklahoma.

You need to consult a Michigan attorney.  The law of where your great aunt resided will apply to how her heirs are determined.
