More details to this question:
My father died in 1990. My mom turned 65 two years ago and filed for social security and they mentioned my dads would be a higher amount to collect. They mentioned she could have been recieving his social security for all the years before but it was too late. She had no idea and could have been collecting for 20 years. Can she do anything? She lives on very little and it would help her alot.
