Now she emails me to increase my rent by$200.00 starting October(giving 30 days notice). WHich is breaking the contract,as the term is not yet over for the current sub-lease. The signed contract is fix rent $1650/month till March 2015. What are my rights? please advice. Can she put me out? I travel a lot and have no time to find something in 30 days.

Your obligation to your landlord is usually governed by a Lease agreement. If there is no Lease, then statutory and/or common law principles may govern the situation. We can help you sort this out. Please call our office for a consultation.
