More details to this question:
I've lived in my house for 8 years my dad owns the house this is in Maine. I have two dogs and my landlord doesn't like one of them and he told me I have to get rid of my dog. Now there is no lease we rent the lot from the landlord. There is an apple orchard that opens every year I basically live in the orchard. Landlord does not like dogs. He said the reasoning I have to get rid of my dog is because it I quote pisses his wife off. Him and his wife will not be back around for an entire another year they only come around my house when the apple orchard open they do not live anywhere near my house.

What does you lot rental agreement say? You could argue that since you had them for eight years they are grandfathered in unless then have bitten someone or have become dangerous.

Sounds like your home is a mobile home, and that is a specialized area of landlord tenant. I am not an expert however if you are renting the land and the landlord says no dogs then no dogs.
