More details to this question:
Yesterday I went to a spa I had once visited 5 weeks ago. I had paid in advance for 6 laser hair removal treatments. I have in the past received these treatments at other locations without any concerns dating back to 2005. Yesterday my treatment was to face, chin, and neck area. With the technician it was the usual experience. However on the way home in my car my face experienced this burning sensation. I looked in the mirror nothing seem out of the ordinary. Three hours later when I looked in the mirror I notice scars and 3 small blisters. I called the spa immediately and I was told to apply aloe vera and made to cover the scars. The spa said it would be better in a few days. The next morning I woke to darker scars a countless blisters. I went to my primary care doctor and he said I have second degree burns. I have two prescriptions I am taking to fight infections. (Methlprednisolo and Silver Sulfadiaz)I am baffled! What do I do from here? I feel like an ORGE I can't see myself returning to work for the next couple of days. I am traumatized my 6 year old is stun. I went to the spa with hopes of enhancing my beauty and now I feel hideous beyond repair. My Dr. suggested I take pictures of my face and send to the Spa. Is this something I should do?!? Would you suggest this as my legal counsel? Where do I begin?

You begin by consulting with a lawyer and giving him/her written authorization to obtain your medical records. If the records support your claim, then you sue the spa.

Normally, second-degree burns are not a severe problem

You are overreacting. If the spa did something that was negligent and the negligence caused you injury you can claim against them. you will need at a minim um a doctor to testify as to the nature of your injuries and their causes. What are your damages? You will probably be OK in a few days. You damagers will be very small. If you have permanent injuries you may need a good personal injury lawyer. it mainly depends on what the dr says.

We are not your legal counsel; we merely give free advice on the Web but there is no client-attorney relationship. Take pictures of your face and send a copy to the Spa along with your Dr.'s notes as to what is wrong. Tell the Spa what happened and what your damages are [try to act calmly]. Ask them if they will pay for your medical bills and wage loss. Later you can ask about emotional distress.

You have a claim in personal injury against the spa, from your telling of the facts.

Go to a plastic surgeon and see if the injuries are permanent or if there is something he can do to fix it. It won't hurt to talk to a personal lawyer.

Absolutely take pictures every day until you are fully healed. However, I would not send them to the spa and would wait until you are fully healed.

Taking pictures preserves the condition of your face and neck they are in at that moment. Continue to take pictures every other day to show the rate of healing. You can file a claim against the Spa, who likely carries insurance for such mishaps. If you are the emotional type, you should retain an attorney to assist you. If you go in aggressive, they in turn will be aggressive. Unfortunately, these are not a high money cases, so keep your expectation realistic.
