More details to this question:
Walking through a door. We were on our way outside to see the hostess to sit by the water. My sister was the 2nd person through the door when "nothing apparent" happened and she went down. FD, EMT's were called. We refused to go in an ambulance. I drove her to nearby facility, she ankle was broken in 3 places. She has to have surgery to put it all back together. The medical cost will be well over 10K.

Yes, it is worth pursuing. Liability on Slip and Fall cases may not be the best, in TX. But, in most cases we can negotiate a settlement despite the case law.
