grandaughter was just involved in an accident in which she was a passenger. she required immediate surgery for a shattered foot. she is recovering

More details to this question:
at my home with me. i live in another county approximately 3 hours away
from where accident occurred. should she get an attorney in the county
where the accident occurred ? there is a possibility for multiple surgeries
and permanent deformity and will walk with a limp. she walks with assistance
from walker and crutches. we have obtained the police report. report only
lists the owner of the vehicle. does not indicate whether or not vehicle was
registered or insured. how do we obtain this information ?

I'm very sorry to hear this happened to your granddaughter. She has suffered terrible injuries and will be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income and pain and suffering. The monetary amount of these damages will be big.
