Unfortunately I cannot provide you a sufficient answer due to the limited details you have provided.  What I can tell you is that suit would have to be filed in Kentucky by a lawyer who is licensed in the state of Kentucky.  The only way a MO attorney would be able to be involved in your potential suit would be if  the attorney was also licensed in KY or if you had both a MO and KY lawyer.  Then, the MO lawyer could possible request to be admitted pro hac vice.  But, your main attorney is going to need to be licensed in KY if you want to file a medical malpractice against a KY hospital.
