Going to have a leg amputated, that I beleve could have been avoided.

This is a complicated questions that cannot be easily answered.  You will have to prove that the doctor's actions or inaction was a substantial factor in leading to the leg amputation.  This will require another doctor in the identicial medical field to express such an opinion.
