Hi, I received a letter from my bank indicating, there is a levy from NJ Superior Court on my bank account for about $3000. Based on my search in NJ Superior Court website, using the Docket number provided in the bank letter, i found that I was sued in the court for an unpaid medical expense. I wasnt aware of such expense and none of the court letters reached me, because the address used in the court documents were incorrect. So, I was totally unaware of this lawsuit, until i saw the letter from my bank notifying me of the levy. Please let me know what are my options at this point.
You option is to file a motion to vacate the default and the defaut judgment, based on insufficiency of service of the complaint and other papers.
