I was a General Manager for Chipotle Mexican Grill, I was fired because I commented on a Facebook post my Apprentice posted. I according to Chipotle violated company rules. Upon filling for unemployment I learned that the reason of my termination was "Unsatisfactory work performance" I also learned that my apprentice and another Chipotle manager that commented on the same post still work for them. So I want justice to be served. They have ruin my work reputation. I have many ex-employees and customers that are willing to an open investigation.
In Ohio, you may be terminated for any reason or no reason at all. Unless the reason you were treated differently was an unlawful reason, you do not likely have a legal claim against chipotle. If you think you were terminated for an unlawful reason you should consult with an employment attorney. You should, however, receive unemployment benefits because the analysis is only whether you were terminated for just cause which it does not seem like there was just cause in your case.
I wish you the best of luck.
