QUESTION

Do you handle workplace sexual harassment?

Asked on Mar 30th, 2013 on Labor and Employment - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
My supervisor accessed my named work e-mail address & sent a co-worker an e-mail stating I was "coming out of the closet". I discussed the issue with the HR dept who assured me the matter had been taken care of. Since then on several occasions the same person has been making comments to co workers (once in front of me at a store wide employee meeting) telling them be careful about joking around here because some people don't know how to take a joke.

You have several issues: (1) whether or not emails hve any expectation of privacy (2) whether and how superiors can or should access others' email, and (3) whether a hostile environment has been created or other discriminatory actions taken against you. With the facts given, it is hard to answer any of these questions.
