QUESTION

What can I do about insurance company holding wrong person responsible for accident?

Asked on Apr 28th, 2021 on Insurance - Florida
More details to this question:
My vehicle was severely damaged by another person and is denying it. I have many witnesses to the fact he was responsible. Insurance company failed to investigate, refused to even look at vehicle and reported me as being responsible on all official records. They have now canceled my policy and as a result I can't get any other company to insure me unless I pay high risk rates. Is there any recourse for falseifing public records and falsely terminating me?

You will need to retain a lawyer to address this with the insurance carrier at some expense, typically through an expensive declaratory judgment lawsuit.
