Life Insurance Beneficiary

More details to this question:
Can a caregiver get an ill person to change the beneficiary on their life insurance policy to make them the beneficiary instead of one of the ill person's children?

1 ANSWER

No.  Attempting to force someone to change a beneficiary is against the law.  The person needs to freely make changes to beneficiaries and needs to be of a sound mind. The person cannot be under any duress or pressure to change beneficiaries.  The fact that you are a caregiver for the ill person would likely equal duress.  This would be illegal.  If you have ever done such a thing before with your position, I recommend you turn yourself in as you likely committed an illegal act and took advantage of someone who depended on you.
