QUESTION

Is my healthcare provider in violation by giving out to much information?

Asked on Jun 18th, 2013 on Insurance - Washington
More details to this question:
My chiropractor was checking into my claim with my healthcare provider and was told all any other claim would be denied. She didn't ask why but was told. Due to my failure to remove my ex-wife in a reasonable time has resulted my claims to be denied. My question is should this be the type of information given if the answer is to be denied, yes or no?

Your healthcare provider probably did not need to provide this info but because the info relates to coverage and not treatment, it is probably not actionable. This response is general in nature and is not legal advice. No attorney client relationship is formed by it. Further, the response does not represent the opinions or views of LexisNexis or its affiliated companies.
