if i accept a claim but feel it was not fair can i still seek restitution

If you accepted money and signed a release, then there is probably nothing you can do. It all depends on whether or not you signed a release or settlement document. The only possible argument you may have if you did sign something would be that you signed it under some extreme duress.  It sounds like you just think the amount was unfair, and if that is the case and you signed a release, there is likely nothing that you can do.  If you didn't sign a release, you can ask for more funds or seek the advice of a local attorney.  NOTE:  This response is general in nature and should not be considered legal advice.  No attorney-client relationship exists or is formed by this response.
