got hit from the rear by a goverment oficial vechile driven by a US Air Force Guy

More details to this question:
Was coming out of a car wash and there was a sheet of ice on the floor so I slowed down and the US air force guy driving behind me did not realize it and slid into my rear causing my car to slide and hit the curb into a block of ice...police came but there was no insurance in his vechile and his plates did not come up since its a government car...what do I do from here to have my vechile paid for and repaired and to get a rentel paid for?...I have all of his info except insurance because it was not provided because it did not have any becuase it is a govt vechile.

First step, you probably have uninsured motorist coverage. Call your insurance company and make a claim ASAP. Have you done this? IF NOT YOU MUST RIGHT AWAY. Most insurance companies will not pay a claim unless you make timely notice. Suing the government is an endless hassle. Let your insurer take care of it. If you do not have uninsured motorist coverage, which I find hard to believe, then call the other driver and ask him for a copy of the insurance report he made to the Air Force. Then make a call to that person and demand payment. If they waffle get in touch with a local lawyer.
