A friend of mine borrowed my car to go to work, he is not on my insurance policy. He was in a car accident that has been determined to be his fault. Can I be sued?

Yes the owner of a car who allows another to drive his vehicle is strictly liable for all damages caused by the party who drove your vehicle.
