QUESTION

I was arrested at age 15 for 2nd degree robbery and charged as a youthful offender will I qualify for DACA?

Asked on Sep 12th, 2013 on Immigration - New York
More details to this question:
I meet every other criteria except being arrested. I am currently 17 years old and will be 18 in December. I was sentenced to serve 5 years probation, I will complete 2 years of probation this month and will give in my early discharge papers at the end of this month. I don't know how long it will take for the judge to get to it and terminate my probation. Could I apply for DACA while I'm waiting or should I wait to apply until I get of probation? Would being arrested for this crime disqualify me for DACA even if I get of probation ?

Your criminal record means you are not qualified for DACA.  The fact you were sentenced to probation or the fact it was a youthful offender case won't help you.
