How long will my spouse be out of the country?

More details to this question:
Hi I am a U.S citizen and my spouse has deportation but never got deported. I already filed an I-130 and I know that that my spouse has to get out of the country. Although we are still waiting for an answer. I just want to know how long will my spouse be out of the country.

If he is deported, he will be out of the country for at least 5 years, maybe more. His ability to return and the timing depends on why he is being deported, you, your family and other circumstances. YOu should not assume there is no way to prevent deportation. If you are part of a valid marriage, you may be able to prevent deportation. Your time is definitely limited and you should consult with an attorney immediately.

This is a difficult question to answer when it all depends on the officer. It depends on which country she is from as well. Mexico has had a pilot program for greater efficiency. The normal wait is about 11 months but a request for expedited processing can be made given certain circumstances.
