You asked this question under Divorce. I assume therefore that the owner of the property was the ex! I would have your attorney draft a letter demanding it's removal within a certain amount of time or it will be considered abandoned and you can then claim it as your own.

Go to the DMV and tell them you need to place a lien on an abandoned trailer on your property. They will give you the proper paperwork. It should be no problem after one year.

You as a property owner may obtain a lien against the utility trailer. A lien is a type of monetary claim against the trailer, kind of like a mortgage or having someone's car title to secure a loan. Depending upon the value of the trailer, it may be worth your while to enforce the lien. By doing this you may end up owning the trailer. Do not take matters into your own hands. You should seek legal help for this problem.
