More details to this question:
My husband and I have a open divorce case in the state of Oklahoma, county of Muskogee. He had move to Morehead City N C and started another divorce action. Our divorce is already in Mediation in the state of Oklahoma. I was told by my current Attorney that I would have to hire an attorney in NC to have the case dismissed in North Carolina.

Yes, an attorney in NC needs to file Preliminary Objections to jurisdiction in NC as the case is pending in another state.   Best Regards, Maribeth Blessing
