Drug Court (as diversion) allows a person to go through a program, the successful completion of which results in the charges being dismissed. If a person opts out of drug court then the case gets set back on the trial docket. If the person is convicted then they are subject to any legal sentence, whether it be a fine, probation, or incarceration. The sentence will largely depend on the nature of the crime, it's facts, the criminal history of the defendant, and the courtroom. If a person is about to leave drug court then they should have a lawyer ready.
