Is it legal or illegal for an 18 year old to date a 15 year old? There is no sexual contact and parents on both sides gave consent.

It is not illegal but any sex would land you in prison.

There is no law concerning dating or associating with a minor but if you do anything sexual it is a crime.

The law is concerned with sexual contact and contact that is intended to bring out sexual desire. If you can date without doing this it is legal.

As long as there is no sexual contact between the individuals, there is nothing illegal about an 18 year old simply dating a 15 year old. However, any sort of sexual contact between an 18 year old and a 15 year old in Minnesota could result in criminal charges.

15 is under the age of consent, which, in Michigan is 16. One can always date, but the problem comes in when there is illicit sex conduct. The short answer is yes legal to date, not legal to have certain intimate acts.
