If I fake my death and come back after 18 years, are your charges dropped by law?

The statute of limitations is 5 years on most felonies but there is no statute od imitations on rape or murder. As far as faking your death you are probably not rich or smart enough to pull it off.

No since you have been hiding and that will stop the statute of limitations, especially if you leave the State where the matte occurred.
