How much time will my boyfriend do in jail or will he get deported?

My boyfriend is 17 years old. He was chanced by the cops in a stolen car and crashed into a truck. Luckily, the people in the other car were okay but he received many injuries. He is not able to walk yet and his left arm hardly has any movement. He is not legal in this country. I wanted to know if he's going to do jail time or if he will be deported?

This depends on his criminal history, but he will very likely serve some jail time and will have a detainer placed on him by immigration.
