Every background check starts with a driving record check. Your driving related convictions are typically transmitted to the Secretary of State within 48 hours of when they are entered in Court. Your's will show up by now.

It depends on how long the records department takes to put it into the system. I would not conceal the fact of the conviction from the company, or they may use that as a reason to not hire you.

There's no way to know for sure. Generally speaking, in North Carolina it would show up within a day or so of your conviction but it all depends on how fast the clerks process the paperwork and enter the information into the database.

It will not be long, as soon as it is abstracted with the state or entered into the court system computers. You are playing with fire, if it shows up and you have not disclosed it you WILL BE FIRED. Honesty remains the best policy, in never hurts as much at the outset as when you get caught.

If you have already been sentenced/convicted by the court, then it will show up on a background check and I suspect that it is already there for your prospective employer to see..
