A local theatre group and unauthorized writers are producing a stage production of local native American icon. In the tribe, there are documented direct descendants of this native American. The Tribe feels the production is illegal without the permission of the direct descendants. Please advise.

By all means this is something that can be stopped. A local theatre does not wish to be sued for invasion of privacy and will in all likelihood "cease and desist" from going forward with the performance when an appropriate letter is sent by an attorney familiar with this field of law.
