A withdrawal of a proof of claim means that creditor is no longer pursuing that claim against you. It is not something to worry about.

Don't worry about it. If creditors want to get paid through a Ch 13 plan they must filed a Proof of Claim. Sometimes a creditor will withdraw a claim for various reasons. It should not concern you.

It simply a notice saying that this creditor no longer believes the debtor owes money. Lots of times, the debtor may have made a side deal with the creditor that leads them to withdraw their claim.

It means that whichever creditor that filed the proof of claim is now withdrawing the claim. This happens a lot in cases where the car creditor or mortgage creditor has been paid in full and no longer wishes to get further notices of the case or payments on the account. You should contact the bankruptcy attorney and make sure that the creditor that withdraw the claim has been dealt with appropriately in the bankruptcy.

A proof of claim is a document filed by a creditor in a bankruptcy case in which the creditor sets forth the amount of his / her / its claim, and the basis for the claim. A notice of withdrawal of the proof of claim merely notifies everyone that the proof of claim has been withdrawn, for whatever reason.
